Welcome to the Prism Advent Devotional Audio Book

This audio devotional has been created to help you focus on the message of both Advent and Christmas. The themes of this devotional are aimed at illuminating the hidden beauty of Christmas by holding our lives up to the light of God’s restorative work in Jesus the Messiah.

Throughout the next four weeks, we will together be exploring the themes of God’s hidden work in Christmas past and present. We will also take time to consider in what ways our holiday rhythms can be expanded to include those around us.

Each week contains two devotionals, one for Sunday and one for Wednesday, that are aimed at encouraging you and helping you to be sensitive to the activity of the Spirit in this holiday season.

At the close of each devotional is a time set a part for reflection, prayer, and journaling. I encourage you to make use of this time and not to skip over it.

You will know that the devotion has come to an end and that you are now being led in a time of prayer and reflection when you hear the soundscape change.

All of the devotional content has been written by myself and all background soundscapes have been used with the artists permission.

Additionally, in the notes section under “End Notes” you will find a full list of the authors who have helped form and shape the content of this devotional.

Finally, it is my prayer that this devotional helps to further form you in the image of our God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and also provides a rhythm of grace and generosity for you to live in this Christmas Season.

This devotional was made to serve and encourage the faith community at Encounter Church in Bellevue, WA.
